Temporary Services- LIbrary Project

Temporary Services is a artist/Tactical media group from Chicago. They did this gorilla art show in the Harold Washington Library in Chicago where they covertly placed a bunch of handmade zines and artist books onto the shelves. You can read more about it/ read the exhibition guide/zine by following the link below.

Jane Hammond.

Jane Hammond is an artist who is into language and appropriated imagery and thus a good person to check out whilst working on the MAKE-READY project. In her prints and paintings she combines and layers images from different sources creating visual and conceptual dialogue between them.
Hammond uses a lot of imagery from science manuals, old encyclopedias and the like which will most likely interest some of you from what I've seen of your work so far (I'm looking at Brittany, April and Alicia specifically, but there are probably others.)

Start drawing THE INTERNET.

We came to a vote, and have dedicated our semester to the perilous task of documenting, drawing, deconstructing, elucidating, and screen printing to the entire internet in a single zine. Ideas forthcoming. (Forthcoming because you will post them. please?)
